Who this notice covers.
“Janet Recipes,” “we,” and “our” refer to the recipe website associated with the Janet Recipes Etsy shop. For a question or request about this website, contact the shop using the route described on our contact page. This notice covers this website, not Etsy’s independent website or your Etsy account.
Browsing and technical information.
The website does not ask you to create an account, enter payment details, join a mailing list, or submit a contact form. Google Analytics integration is prepared but remains disabled until a valid measurement ID is configured. When enabled, the optional Google script loads only after you allow analytics. No advertising script is installed in this release.
The hosting and content delivery service, Cloudflare, processes network requests to deliver and protect the website. Technical information can include an IP address, requested page, browser information, and security-related request data. Hosting records are separate from the saved-recipe feature. See the linked Cloudflare privacy information below for its practices.
Search and saved recipes.
Search and filtering run in your browser. This website does not send your search terms to an analytics service. If you choose a heart button, recipe identifiers are kept in this browser’s local storage under the key “janet-recipes-saved-v1.” This saved list is not uploaded by our site code, does not create an account, and is not synced between devices.
The saved list has no automatic expiry in this release. Remove individual recipes using their hearts, or use Privacy choices to clear the list. The feature may be unavailable if browser storage is disabled. Clearing the list does not cancel an Etsy purchase or delete a downloaded PDF.
Recipe images and external websites.
Some previously approved AI serving illustrations are stored with the website. Other covers use the Etsy image URLs supplied in the shop export. The hosted site can request those covers through its own image handler; the local preview and a fallback can request them directly from Etsy. Those external requests reveal technical connection information to that service.
Clicking an Etsy link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy and cookie practices. This website does not receive your card details. Order information you provide to the shop on Etsy is handled through that service.
Advertising and cookies.
Google AdSense and other advertising scripts are not active in this release. No advertising-consent banner is represented here as being a Google-certified consent system. The cookie notice describes the storage used by the features that are actually present.
If Google advertising is added, this notice and the site’s consent controls must be updated before it starts. Google and other ad vendors can use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads, including personalized advertising where enabled and permitted. Information about Google’s use of data on partner sites and advertising controls is linked below; these links do not mean ads are currently running.
Choices and requests.
You can browse without saving recipes, clear the local saved list, and change browser storage settings. Use Etsy’s own settings for information held in your Etsy account. For a request about information you have sent to Janet Recipes, contact the shop and identify the relevant interaction.
Depending on where you live and the rules that apply, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information, restrict its use, or object to certain processing. We may need enough information to confirm the request relates to you. These statements do not promise deletion of records that another provider must retain.
Retention, recipients, and international processing.
The browser list remains until you remove it or clear browser data. We do not set a retention period for Cloudflare’s or Etsy’s independent records in this notice. Messages you choose to send may need to be retained for support, transaction records, or applicable obligations.
The technical services used to deliver this website can process information in countries outside your own. Their documentation explains the safeguards and retention arrangements for their services. We do not sell a customer database or use the saved-recipe list for targeted advertising in this release.
Children and changes.
This website is intended for a general audience interested in food and recipe planning. It is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian with a concern about information sent to the shop can use the contact route above.
We will update the date on this notice when the described practices change. Read this notice again when new features, such as advertising or a newsletter, are introduced.
